Top 10 Posts: Small Business to Costumes

Blogging for Business can be fun. And Challenging. I like to review my stats and see what you the reader is interested in....and here it is:

I am not surprised by these results. Since I started blogging, tweeting and the like, my page views have spiked. Content management say no more...

I like to create original content, on subjects that are relative to me as a consultant, and relative to you my reader.

Thank you for coming back again, and again, for these posts.

Joanne Klee Marketing Round Up Post:

Top Ten Read Blog Articles

In order to be listed here, these posts have an all time high in page views.

#10.

Being last on the list, in this case, is not a bad thing. I could have Zero views. But the subject keeps the readership going.... "Blogging about your business" is not a new idea. Far from the days of leaving a flyer or brochure about your business, not you have live content 24.7 that readers can gain access into your insights, expertise and event the competition can steal a few pointers (we know you are reading too). But this subject continues to grow, not only on Social Media, to people we don't know. But in the hazy blue light when we can't sleep at night, potential clients, reading and learning more about you and your service. NOT in a direct sell, but in sharing of knowledge. In my first post on Organic Marketing, Blogging about your business, Part I of II, there was a skyrocket of clicks thru twitter, 25 of so in the first week and growth from there. This topic has not left the blog - I have built on it as you will see below.

Building credibility is not an easy task. Former coworkers, clients, family and friends know who you are and the value you add. But how to you convince a new readership audience to read you posts? Excellent content for starters. But credibility stems from our backgrounds as well... and so my Client Portfolio round up gets those clicks as well.

#8.

Do you use blogger? Are you a word press junkie? Maybe some other platform? Well I like the simplicity of blogger and the on the go management piece. We carry a computer in our pocket, so let's use it often. But or those blogger lovers, this post on Blogger Tips, for creating pages and tabs is a quick reviews on features available to you.

#7.

My favorite post made the list. I am not biased! I am a detailed, meticulous, and often over enthusiastic. Recently in a new client conversation, I was asked "how my friends would describe me in 3 words." I smiled. What a great "non-resume" question. Funny, the wit kind, not sarcasm. Professional, since we often discuss business or trends, my professional switch turns on - and generous. Not necessarily in the financial way you are thinking of. I give my time, my expertise, and my all to my involvements.... So what? Well this post gives you a business glimpse into that level of detail. And what a consultant in event management does do, shortly before your event. Timelines, scripts and other detailed tasks. My marketing projects get the same detail of love, and beautiful logical layouts for the files.

#6.

Do not discredit this post, after all it is No. 6 on the list, of a potential wayyyyy more posts and pages. When you manage volunteers sometimes you need to get into their heads and understand how they see your project or event. As you will see in this post it doesn't have to be a sexy presentation, as in the previous No. 6 post, or a flyer that took hours to create, some times my older sons lines paper, and a marker will suffice. Don't discredit the title. If you love volunteer work, managing people, making kits to define a task, or being creative - this post if for you.

#5.
So why don't we use it to help grow our business? The in's and out's of this post are still growing .... but I know that it's a trend that won't go away. If growth is your objective, or any type of customer service....then happy reading!

Budgeting is not a dirty word. Altho it can give heartburn sometimes.  Regardless if your are building a marketing budget or event related, there are basic ideas that should carry thru. Of course your can flatline it and say X% of XYZ.... but making a budget grow organically, meeting needs, growth objectives and frankly, deciding which wine to serve at an event all should play a portion of the decision. I'll be posting more on financial management and the factors to consider, for both independent professionals building their marketing portfolio & the DIY types coming across challenging budget constraints.

#3.

What should you tweet about? Well sometimes that is a questions left hovering at networking events and cocktail parties. Especially for newbies to this social media stuff. When I posted on "What Small Businesses and Consultants can (and should) Tweet About, Tips and Tricks on Twitter for Business," I knew the content was fresh and informative, but I didn't think it would get you this excited.

#2.

Do you want social media tips? Unique advice you have not seen before... my creative posts do just that. And so I continue to blog on these scenarios because the readership is high in those areas. As with this #2 winner... More tips and Tricks when blogging for business. AKA Organic Marketing part II

#1.

Maybe you didn't expect this winner? But for me, it is not surprising since social media and the business tie in is all the rage. So my multi post "tie in" is also on the #1 spot in the hit parade: a wrap up post, on Tips and Tricks when blogging for business. This was the first "wrap up post" I completed since the click thru from twitter was an outstanding ratio for more details on blogging tips for business owners and consultants. It is the unique content that is driving the readership.
